Frequently Asked Questions

Clinical Pilates is a form of physiotherapy-led exercise that focuses on improving core strength, posture, flexibility, strength and movement using various equipment including a reformer, multi-chair, trapeze table, spine corrector, to name a few. At The MSK Studio in South Adelaide, clinical Pilates sessions are tailored to your individual needs, supporting rehabilitation from injury and enhancing overall physical well-being.

Exercise programs are personalised and delivered in a small-group, physiotherapist-led session.

Functional strength training using the kinetic link approach focuses on building strength through natural, real-life movement patterns rather than isolated muscle exercises. It aims to improve how your body works as a whole, helping you lift, push, pull, rotate, and stabilise more efficiently for daily activities, work demands, and sport, while reducing injury risk.

Personalised physiotherapy is key to keeping your program safe, effective, and tailored to your body. These sessions let your physiotherapist reassess movement, progress exercises and adjust loads to match your goals or injury status. Regular reviews every 8–12 weeks ensure your progress never stalls.

No. Our clinical exercise sessions are designed for all fitness levels as they are personalised to your goals. From beginners recovering from injury, to experienced athletes seeking performance improvement, exercises are scaled to your ability and gradually progress as your strength, flexibility and confidence improve.

Each session is 45 minutes and supervised by a physiotherapist. Sessions are scheduled throughout the week, making it easy to find a time that fits your lifestyle.

For meaningful and lasting results, a minimum of 4 to 6 months, training twice per week, is recommended.

This aligns with Australian exercise and rehabilitation guidelines, which show that consistent strength training over time is required to improve pain, function, and injury resilience.
